/Jugglers is such an important part in the creative history of Brisbane. I grew up in that area and even before the birth of Jugglers my family had a store on that strip so I grew up with a massive personal connection to the space.
The overwhelming generosity from Jugglers to Brisbane’s arts community is incredibly understated and I can’t think of another organisation that offered as much in such a selfless way.
In all their years of operation, no-one felt as though they weren’t welcome there which for a gallery space is unheard of in my experience. The sheer amount of artists who have come out of their connection to that space is testament to the impact of Jugglers on this city we love and I feel as though this city is indebted to it as a result.
Personally I feel so much love toward Jugglers and I feel guilty for never saying it before…
I love you Jugglers.
I always have. It is something I should have said a long time ago.
