Kirsten Lovejoy and Karen Anderson, Greens candidates for the seats of Brisbane and Griffith, in conjunction with Jugglers Art Space, present a community forum on the Arts.
WIth a federal election coming up on 2 July, leaders from a variety of art forms will facilitate and provoke discussion on a range of issues including:
The state of Arts policies in Queensland
Impact on livelihoods of funding uncertainty
Lack of infrastructure
Pathways from studies to a career in the arts
Speakers include:
Sean Mee, Brian Lucas, Catarina Hebbard, Joel Edmondson, Dusan Bojic-Jones, Lynette Irwin, Robert Henderson, Noel Mengel, Edwina Shaw.
This is an opportunity for all local artists, visual, music, theatre, literature, poetry, and their organisations, to engage with the Greens in an informal setting to discuss the Arts and the impact of government policy on the sector.
Come and have your voice heard! Senate Candidate Andrew Bartlett, Kirsten Lovejoy - Greens Candidate for Brisbane, Karen Anderson - Greens Candidate for Griffith will be there to listen to your ideas.
Please note that the last event at 103 Brunswick Street was on May 22, 2018. That building is now sold and operated by YMCA Brisbane. We are currently expanding The Stairwell Project [at the RBWH,St VIncent’s and Prince Charles Hospital] Tarragindi Guide Hut Studios, City-well Installations and planning for the 10th Marie Ellis OAM Prize for Drawing in 2019.
